A warm, layered lighting scheme turns a living room from simply “bright” into truly inviting. In this project, CL Lighting built a complete ambient lighting setup around RGBIC LED strip lights: a soft glow above the cabinets, an LED skirt of light under the sofa, and accent light that guides the eye to the room’s focal points.
Design Concept
A living room needs three layers of light working together:
- Ambient lighting – diffused, soft and uniform light that fills the whole space and sets the base mood.
- Task lighting – stronger, focused light for specific areas such as reading corners or work desks.
- Accent lighting – directional light that highlights artwork, shelves and other focal points of the room.
There are countless colors, styles and smart-control options to choose from across these three layers, so the same room can shift from a cozy family evening to a vibrant party night with one tap in the App.
